Dog Training/Showing/Photography.
Transferable Skills

For the past three years I have proudly been able to combine several of my passions with each other, i.e. dog shows, training and photography. I train my dogs for dog shows and then capture those winning moments (and all the sweet moments in between) with my camera. It strengthens our bond, stimulates creativity and connect with other dog lovers!
Through such a wide-ranging hobby I have also been able to learn skills that will be useful to me in my professional life. Presenting a dog requires clear communication and poise, which can be transferred to client presentations or public speaking. In addition, it offers the opportunity to network with breeders, trainers and dog industry professionals. Developing curricula and training when laying the foundations for training your own dog requires a great deal of planning, organisation and customisation of content. Creating a compelling gallery of dog photographs and publicising content demonstrates marketing and presentation skills. Taking high-quality photos and videos of dogs requires attention to detail and composition. In all these areas, I am trying to take the initiative and demonstrates leadership skills, which is a very valuable trait.
